On Wednesday, 4th December, the CraigPark Residents’ Association hosted its annual Christmas event, bringing the community together for an evening filled with festive fun and fitness.

The evening kicked off with a spirited 5km Christmas Trail Run, starting at Vice Coffee Shop and finishing on Hamilton Avenue. Runners of all ages, dressed in their festive best, laced up their shoes to enjoy a scenic route through the neighbourhood.

The festivities continued at Hamilton Avenue, where Santa made a special appearance, arriving with his ponies to the delight of children and adults alike. Families shared their letters with Santa at the Santa letter box and enjoyed delicious refreshments, including boerie rolls, while mingling with neighbours.

Donations of cash for the Salvation Army and toys for Thembisa Child Welfare were generously received, demonstrating the community’s spirit of giving during the holiday season.

This cherished annual event was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the festive season and strengthen the bonds that make our community special. Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to its success!

A special thank you to CAP Security, our local public space security provider, for managing the access and security for the event.
