On the evening of September 19th, the CRA hosted a comedy event for residents of our vibrant community at Delta Cafe. It was a night filled with laughter, music, and delicious food. The stage was set for an unforgettable comedy evening that showcased the incredible talents of comedian Nik Rabinowitz and the musician, Jaryd Smith.
The area had been abuzz with anticipation in the days leading up to the event, and it did not disappoint. With over 200 residents in attendance, the atmosphere was electric. Laughter echoed through the venue as Nik Rabinowitz took center stage, regaling the audience with his witty anecdotes about the history of Craighall Park and the people of Johannesburg and Cape Town. His unique style and comedic timing had the crowd in stitches, proving once again why he is considered one of the country’s top comedians.
But the entertainment didn’t stop there. Jaryd Smith, the one-man band, opened the show. His performance was a delightful surprise as he sang a catchy song about a little green toy, captivating the audience with his musical prowess and infectious enthusiasm.
Amidst the laughter and music, attendees were treated to a culinary experience like no other. The Delta Cafe served up fantastic selection of pizzas and burgers.
It’s events like these that bring the community together and enforce the importance of working together.
