The Profica team, in collaboration with the a team from Joburg City Parks, gathered to plant trees at Hugh Wyndam Park. This is part of Profica’s commitment towards environmental sustainability. The event, hosted amidst lush greenery, was marked by camaraderie, laughter, and a collective effort to make a positive impact on the environment.
Profica, with a remarkable 18-year journey since its inception, has consistently pursued a founding mission of creating sustainable environments for people at work, home, and play. As project leaders, their commitment extends beyond mere construction and development; they actively strive to influence clients and project teams to consider and implement environmental and sustainability requirements in every project they manage.
Taking their mission to new heights, Profica has pledged to reduce their carbon footprint by planting a Profica forest in every city where they operate, starting with Jozi, the home of their headquarters. For every project that breaks ground, a tree is planted, symbolizing their dedication to environmental stewardship. This year alone, 11 trees have been planted, each representing a unique project or portfolio of projects in different cities across the continent.
The initiative aims to create a green legacy that grows in tandem with their projects, making a tangible and lasting contribution to the environment. The visual representation of this commitment is a flourishing forest of trees, each one echoing Profica’s dedication to sustainability.
A heartfelt thank you is extended to JCPZ (Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo) for their collaborative effort in obtaining approvals, selecting the appropriate Olive Trees, digging holes, and providing invaluable assistance during the planting process. The success of this endeavor is a testament to the power of collaboration between businesses and local authorities, working together for a greener and more sustainable future.
